Always Have an Agreement Ready Prior to an FRO Hearing

I have learned that you always have to be prepared to resolve a Final Restraining Hearing on the day of trial.  There are usually only 10 days between a court issuing a Temporary Restraining Order and the hearing for a Final Restraining Order.

These are emotional parties that had to resort to a court proceeding to resolve personal issues.  I recently had a Final Restraining Order Hearing in Passaic County where the parties had several issues that including visitation and custody.

I met with my client and prepared an Agreement so that way I had it prepared if I was able to resolve these issues with the other party. I spoke to the other party and was able to have both parties agree to dismiss their final restraining orders and agree on visitation on the same agreement.
